Yesterday, Val (hubby) and I set off to go for a drive to a little place that I fell in love with when I visited it for the first time in 2006. Talbingo is a little township of 390 people, which is nestled in a valley beside lake Jounama (it’s really a dam) which lies at the bottom of the Tumut 3 Power Station. The original town of Talbingo was flooded in 1978 by the Jounama dam as part of the Snowy River Hydro Electric scheme.
