The New York Pass

Before heading off to the States it was recommended  that we purchase The New York Pass by a friend. She had used it when she was in New York and said it was great value. We did a bit of research about it on the net and eventually purchased it through the official The New York Pass website prior to leaving Australia. We have to say that we are glad that she recommended it to us because it definitely turned out to be value for money. Which card did we buy? Canberra is in Bloom

Canberra is putting on its spring show and the trees are all begining to blossom now that spring is here. One of the main September through to October attractions in the ACT is Floriade in Commonwealth Park.  Over  one million blooms are set out to create a  theme that has been decided on by the organisers.  This years theme is Aussie icons, myths and legends. There are also cultural activities and events to keep the crowds entertained along with food and shops.  Entrance to the event is free and Floriade is very popular with touring groups. Traveling with Pets on Airlines

When we were in the US waiting for our flight from Orlando to New York we were a bit taken aback when we saw a women with her little dog in her handbag. Coming from Australia where pets aren’t allowed in airports we just assumed that she must have sneaked the dog in. Once on the plane we were even more taken aback when she proceeded to sit in the seat behind us with the pup on her lap. In Australia, dogs aren’t allowed in the passenger cabin area. Very Short Novels to Read While Travelling

One of the mybloglog communities that I belong to is that of  Very Short Novels.  No story exceeds 299 words. Each story is vastly different from the last.  They come in a range of funny, poignant, touching and some are almost as if they have been taken from my own life’s experience.
