Canberra is putting on its spring show and the trees are all begining to blossom now that spring is here. One of the main September through to October attractions in the ACT is Floriade in Commonwealth Park. Over one million blooms are set out to create a theme that has been decided on by the organisers. This years theme is Aussie icons, myths and legends. There are also cultural activities and events to keep the crowds entertained along with food and shops. When we were in the US waiting for our flight from Orlando to New York we were a bit taken aback when we saw a women with her little dog in her handbag. Coming from Australia where pets aren’t allowed in airports we just assumed that she must have sneaked the dog in.
