The very first ‘Blog of the Week’ that I want to share with you is
I have been a fan of this travel site for some time now and always enjoy the stories about Nath’s travels.
The site has just recently been updated to give it a great new look.
Apart from all the interesting travel stories, there is a lot of good information, especially for the independant traveller, to help you plan your trip and the things to look out for.
So if you want a great read then I strongly urge you to head over to Ubertramp.

Wanda and Paula are friends and business partners that love to travel. We developed this website to share our experiences, what we've learned over the years and also to provide reviews on hotels, airlines, restaurants and anything else travel related.
wow ubertramp is my favourite too. i especially like the one on bolivia’s road of death.
thanks to the article – I am going to travel soon
I read your site with interest Spanish Traveller and will certainly keep it in mind when we finally get to go to Spain or South America.
You have a nice informative site on learning Spanish.
I was also thinking of having a trip like that the same as ubertramp though, but I have to plan it on a map instead… I have it plotted in http://www.baraaza.com/contest/ because of the ease of use and the availability of all the options… Plus I get to share them with travelers too…
Ubertramp has written about some amazing adventures. One thing to remember is to not over plan. Often people become so wrapped up in the planning process that they never get around to taking the trip. Of course it depends where you want to go. Granted some countries do require more research and planning than others.
But often it is better to just get up and go.
I have a little motto that I live by:
If it’s important to you, and you want to do it ‘eventually’ – just do it and correct course along the way.
