Paula and I head of for Sydney in just a little while.  Paula’s brother Wal, who recently returned from an overseas trip to the UK and Europe, is driving us to Sydney to catch our  plane.

 The first stop will be Hawaii, where we will be staying at the Aqua Wave Hotel (reveiw to follow – have to get there first).

So we will be in Hawaii for two nights before heading off to Los Angeles. 

As we will be gone for 7 whole weeks, I have spent the morning on the phone catching up with the family.  Demelza called in to say goodbye on her way back from a run with her mother. They are both on a fitness regime as Demelza is now playing soccer and wants to increase her fitness levels, and Varinia just wants to get fitter.

Now here is a photo of the bag that I am taking for this 7 week trip.  I figure if I need something I will just buy it.  I still have way too much packed, but as we are attending a seminar I needed at least one reasonably dressy outfit, which is of course squashed up in a ball in the bag.

The bag is next to a footstool to give some perspective of the size.
