Disney World’s Space Mountain to Get an Upgrade

Disney World undertakes routine maintenance and upgrades to freshen up the park and rides. The off season is the time when a number of Walt Disney World attractions get a spruce up. Only recently the big Mickey Mouse hat at Disney’s Hollywood Studios was given an extensive make over and the Hall of Presidents at Magic Kingdom is closed temporarily to allow for President Obama to be added. And now one of my very favorite rides is to be shut down so that it can be refurbished. The ride opened on January 15th 1975 and now after 34 years the…

Meanwhile Paula was operating the bowser. After putting in the credit card we couldn’t work out how to operate the fuel…

We decided to have breakfast at the park so headed straight for the shuttle bus which is right outside the hotel and made our way to the park. We headed straight to Splash Mountain and queued for about 15 minutes. While…

Our Disney World MGM Studios Experience

After hitting the Animal Kingdom Park this morning we made our way back to our hotel for a good rest. We were really tired but were determined to see MGM Studios that night as they had a evening Extra Magic Hours on for the park so we wanted to make the most of it. We dragged ourselves to the shuttle bus and headed off to the park. We really should have stayed at home as the time at Animal Kingdom had really tired us out and we could barely put one foot in front of the other. Our plan was…
