Paula and I both celebrate our birthday’s next week and as I will be in Brisbane we decided to treat ourselves to lunch at the Hyatt hotel in Canberra a week ahead of time. While I have been traipsing around the United States having a great time, I have become a great grandmother. My grandson Stephen and his lovely partner Shanny finally welcomed their son Connor into the world. He was due on 29th February but decided to stay put for a bit longer. An Eventful Trip to Tara

It seems to me that every time I drive to Tara it is raining and this week was no exception. Our lovely niece Jenny has just emailed through some family photos and amongst them is of Val and I when we were married and another one of us at Roy and Kays wedding a couple of years later. Off to Whangarei on a Family Visit

The next morning we set out bright and early to drive to Whangarei to see Val’s nephew. Funnily enough Roy is actually 6 months older than his uncle Val. We stopped for lunch at the Country Kitchen in Wellsford and had really nice fish and chips. The cafe is neat and clean and the staff are friendly and helpful.
