For our last few days in Vegas we decided to stay at Caesars Palace. We had stayed here before on a previous visit but at that time we were given an upgraded room in the Forum Tower. This time, we were offered an upgrade for $50.00 but we declined and so we had a standard room in the Roman Tower. Check-in On check-in the guy checking us in tried to get us to upgrade to a better room for an extra $50 a night but since we had the upgraded room before and as we weren’t really all that impressed we declined…

Las Vegas – Caesars Palace – Things to Know

The world famous Caesars Palace is a luxury hotel and casino in Las Vegas, USA.  It’s on the west side of Las Vegas Strip, between the Bellagio and the Mirage, in Paradise, a township in Nevada. With it’s Roman theme, this is one of my favorite Casino’s, mind you they are all pretty impressive. Caesars Palace is owned by Harrah’s Entertainment and is a vast complex of 3,348 rooms in five towers.  These are called the Augustus, Centurion, Roman, Palace and Forum. People flock there to gamble and see spectacular shows and world famous entertainers. How did it all start?…

More Views of Caesar’s Palace

The decor of Caesar’s Palace is based on roman architecture and statuary.  As we both loved Rome when we visited there in 2001, and can’t wait to return, strolling through Caesar’s palace was a joy as there are replica’s of all our favourite things. Strolling past the Trevi Fountain was an opportunity to throw in a couple of coins as we had done at the original Trevi Fountain in Rome, there is a life sized replica of the Statue of David plus many other statues such as the Venus de Milo.
