While we were in Las Vegas recently we found that walking the Strip can be  a somewhat tiring experience. Everything looks so close when you look up the Strip but as you walk along you find that there is quite some distance between casinos. And if you deviate off the main road into a Casino well it may take you quite some time to find your way out again plus it will definately add some considerable distance to your stroll. We have been making a lot of use  of the daily Deuce bus pass so that we can spend more time in the various casino’s, don’t get sore feet,  and don’t get worn out by the end of the day. There are regular stops all down the Strip through to the Downtown area and we found the Deuce pass to be very economical. The costs are : Single trip – $3.00 24 hour pass – $7.00 3 day pass  – $15 We didn’t find out about the three day pass until it was too late to be of any use…

Leaving San Francisco and Arriving at Las Vegas

Today we leave San Francisco. After breakfast I go up the road to do the washing so that we have clean clothes when we get to Las Vegas. On the way down in the lift a rather irate women grumbles to us not to lose our key as the cleaning staff are most unhelpful and she has to go down to the desk to get another.  I bit my tongue as I do quite often these days.
