If You Are Travelling – How big is your suitcase?

I am finding that the more trips I go on, the smaller my suitcase gets. On our last business trip overseas we both decided that this time we didn’t want to drag huge suitcases around with us. We had done that on so many other occasions and were tired of it. So even though we were away for 7 weeks we only took what was pretty much the size of an overnight bag….maybe slightly bigger. And you know what?…when we got back we realised that we hadn’t used even used some of the clothes we packed….so we could have packed…

Restaurant Review: Eating Cheaply at Las Vegas Buffets

Eating in Las Vegas is a great experience. Not only is the food of excellent quality but you can feed yourself for a very reasonable price, especially, if you eat at one of the many buffets in the casinos. We have eaten at quite a few buffets in Las Vegas and found that even the cheapest of them provide delicious food. The difference between the more expensive buffets and the cheaper ones seems to relate more to the amount of choice rather than in the quality of the dishes. Some of the rides at Disneyland are so popular that the regular queue can have a waiting time of up to 100 minutes. Waiting in long lines means you have less time to spend on other activities that you may want to see.  So make sure you take advantage of Disney’s FASTPASS to cut down your waiting time. Traveling with Pets on Airlines

When we were in the US waiting for our flight from Orlando to New York we were a bit taken aback when we saw a women with her little dog in her handbag. Coming from Australia where pets aren’t allowed in airports we just assumed that she must have sneaked the dog in. Once on the plane we were even more taken aback when she proceeded to sit in the seat behind us with the pup on her lap. In Australia, dogs aren’t allowed in the passenger cabin area. The only way they are allowed onto a plane is in…

Travel Safe Handbags

Yesterday we went shopping for a couple of handbags for when we head over to the States in July. We normally like to have something with lots of compartments to fit maps, a water bottle and various other things that you need when you are out and about. We had heard about a brand of handbags specifically made for travelers so this is what we were looking for. These bags had a number of benefits although it also meant paying double the cost of a regular handbag but the benefits appeared to be worth it in the long run. The…

Travel Tip: Choosing the best seating on a plane

If you will be taking a long haul flight then don’t request a window seat particularly if you are traveling alone. Request the aisle seat instead. The only time you will see anything in the window seat is at take off and landing and on a long flight you will really want the aisle seat as you won’t need to climb over your fellow passengers every time you need to take a trip to the bathroom. It will also mean that you can just get out of your seat at any time to exercise your legs and get the blood…
