When we went out for dinner last night at the Paris we purchased the ‘Buffet of Buffets’ card which is now $44.95 + tax, it was $39.99 + tax last year when we were in Vegas and it went up to $44.99+ tax 2 days before we left. but even at the higher price it still a great deal.
The $44.95 price is for ‘Total Rewards” members, the price for non- member is $49.95. But keep in mind that signing up to be a Total Rewards members is very easy, it’s free and can be done at any of the participating casinos.
So What is the Buffet of Buffets Card!
This card allows you visit any of the six participating buffets, as often as you’d like, within a 24-hour period. We found that purchasing the voucher in the evening at dinner time gave us the best value. Dinner is the most expensive meal of the day and so we were able to fit in 2 dinners plus breakfast and lunch. But you can just pop in for a snack if you are hungry as well. So as far as we are concerned this is great value for money.
You can purchase the Pass at the cashier stands at any of the participating buffets.
The Participating Casino’s Are:
Paris – Le Village Buffet
Imperial Palace – Emperor’s Buffet
Planet Hollywood – Spice Market Buffet
Rio – Carnival World Buffet and the Village Seafood Buffet
Flamingo – Paradise Garden Buffet
Harrahs – Flavors Buffet
Each buffet offers a variety of dishes in their own unique style.
Caesar’s Palace is no longer part of the group but we went there on a couple of occasions last time and weren’t impressed with what was on offer.
Paris – Le Village Buffet
It’s almost like being in France with the village setting and food that is representative of the 5 provinces of France. There is generally a long queue waiting to get in but to me that shows the popularity of the place. We managed to arrive a couple of times when we walked straight in, but be early around meal times.
We found the food to be good quality and very tasty with the ‘Duck à l’orange’ being among our favorites. Other notables were the roasted duck, the lamb, and the pizza. There is a carvery and you can request to have a steak cooked to your taste. Most people around us had plates of crabs legs. There are a number of tasty vegetable dishes and a lovely creamy potato au gratin.
The dessert Station was a real treat where you can order fresh crepes. I had what I thought was a chocolate dessert and the next time we went there weren’t any on display so I asked and the chef told me it was Tiramisu. Well I don’t like Tiramisu as a rule but this was to die for, so of course I made sure I had one each time we went back. Paula opted for the Creme Brulee which is her favorite dessert. There is also an ice cream station and an assortment of cheese and crackers to finish the meal. Plus the fresh fruit is in peak condition and full of flavour.
Unfortunately on this visit it appears that the Tiramisu is no longer on offer but they have replaced it with a very nice chocolate cake and chocolate brownie. The carrot cake is not to be missed either.
Planet Hollywood – Spice Market Buffet
Situated in the heart of the Miracle Mile Shopping Center, we love the Spice Market Buffet at Planet Hollywood and ate there a few times during our stay. Again there is a selection of food from around the world and you can sample Mexican, Italian, Asian, Middle Eastern and American cuisine.
Along with a wide selection of desserts, they have the most amazing cream puffs, these just melt in your mouth and are filled with a superb creamy custard that is light and fluffy.
The only thing I miss at the Spice Market Buffet is the pink lemonade, so I opted for a root beer and it was quite nice.
Don’t miss this buffet for good quality food and a wide selection that will tempt even the most jaded taste buds. Here are some photos of just some of the food stations.
Emporer’s Buffet – Imperial Palace
We had the absolute best fried chicken at the Imperial Palace. My favorite spot for fried chicken used to be Lucky 7’s at the Plaza Hotel in Fremont St, Las Vegas, but they have had an upgrade and the last time I went, the chicken wasn’t quite as good as I remembered from the first time I was there. So it was a pleasant surprise to find great tasting fried chicken at the Emperor’s Buffet.
We also had our first taste of pink lemonade at the Emperor’s Buffet, and couldn’t get enough of it. We are neither of us fizzy drink drinkers so it was a real change to find a lemonade that is so refreshing. Not sure why but it always seems to taste best at the Imperial Palace.
Their Bolongnese and butter pasta are superb.
Rio – Carnival World and the Village Seafood Buffet
The Carnival World Buffet at the Rio has more than 300 dishes which are prepared daily. You can enjoy a taste experience of food from around the world such as tasty pizza, spicy Mexican dishes, Asian food such as sushi and teppan yaki. Have an omelet made with fillings that you choose.
There are over 70 types of homemade pies, cakes and pastries along with nine different gelato flavors for dessert.
The Village Seafood Buffet is an amazing experience for the seafood lovers as it features lobster, crab legs, shrimp, freshly shucked oyster, mussels and more. All the seafood you could ever want to eat and you can fill your plate as many times as you like. And after you have had your fill of seafood you can finish off with a tasty dessert.
You are spoiled for choice at the Rio.
