As with most theme parks there is the usual fare on offer such as hamburgers, fries, coke and corn. But there is so much more on offer in Epcot at the World showcase.
Here you can enjoy the flavors of Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, America, Morocco, France, Canada, The United Kingdom and Japan. In fact with so much on offer you are spoiled for choice.
Having been to Epcot before we headed to one of our favourite places for lunch the’ Yorkshire County Fish Shop’. The fish and chips are truly delicious and the the food is reasonably priced.

For lunch we had 2 serves of crispy beer battered fish with chips. The fish has firm white flesh and every time we have had the fish it has been cooked to perfection. The chips are like we get in Australia, crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy when you bite into them. Absolutely divine. Oh and we added a beer seeing the weather was nice and warm.
The first time we had fish and chips in the US we were given fish and potato crisps. This time we were sitting at a table with an American couple and they commented on how much they loved the fish and chips and they remarked about how there kids couldn’t understand why they had chunky potato for chips instead of ‘potato crisps’. Guess its what you get used to.
If you are going to have fish and chips for lunch make sure you get there early as it gets very busy and the tables soon fill up. I found it quite funny how most people won’t ask if they can join our table even though there is only two of us and we sat on one side to allow for others. In the end we would have to gesture to people that there were free seats at our table.
So we thoroughly recommend fish and chips at the Yorkshire County Fish Shop.
We had tried to have lunch at the Rose and Crown Pub, which is next door but it was fully booked and we weren’t there in the busy season either, so do remember to book for both lunch and dinner. I was looking forward to having their Corned Beef Sandwich – oh well there is always next time.
