As we had a few days in London we decided to check out Madame Tussauds, and get up close and personal with some of our favourite stars. For those that don’t know about Madame Tussauds, this is where you can see all your favorite stars, both old and new, replicated in wax.
The figures are so lifelike that you often find yourself apologising to someone you bump into, only to find it’s a wax figure. And I wasn’t the only one making that mistake. There were a few of us, as revealed by a conspiratorial smile among strangers bonding us together as ‘those who talk to wax dummies’.
So lets start with the Royals.
- Here we have Diana, the much loved princess who was killed in that tragic car incident in France., the queen mother and Prince Charles looking all regal.
- Here I am with the rellies, bit stuffy this lot. Didn’t even get a cuppa. Thought the Duke of Edinburgh might crack a smile.
- The Queen, Duke of Edinburgh, Princess Anne and Prince Andrew.
- And so onto the glitterati, here I am with my mate Anthony Hopkins, Arnold Schwarzenegger and other notables .
The waxworks was a fun outing and well worth the money. We spent a few hours there and took heaps of photos with our favorite, and not so favorite stars. And who wouldn’t want to spend time with notable personalities including Shakspeare, Anthony Hopkins, Arnold Schwarzeneger, Adolf Hitler, Winston Churchill, the Beatles and the Queen. A lot more celebrities have been added since we visited back in 2001.
